Starter Kit Operator

Meeting Debrief.

Turns messy meeting notes into structured debriefs with decisions, action items, and follow-up drafts — in your voice.

Pattern 8 · Capture messy, let AI organize

what it does

After any meeting, give this operator your raw notes — messy, incomplete, stream-of-consciousness. It produces a structured debrief you can act on in under 2 minutes: summary, key decisions, action items (yours vs. others’), context for next time, and a follow-up draft when needed.

Why this is different from asking ChatGPT to summarize your notes:

  • It knows your role and judges what’s strategic vs. administrative based on your context.
  • Follow-up drafts match your voice — your tone, sentence length, level of formality.
  • Action items are prioritized based on your current workload, not just what was discussed.
  • It captures subtext — political dynamics, enthusiasm, hesitation — not just what was said.

what makes it work

Three context files. That’s the difference.

Upload these alongside the operator instructions. They’re what turn a generic AI summary into output that sounds like you wrote it.

  • about-me.mdYour role, who you serve, what good work looks like
  • my-voice.mdYour tone, sentence patterns, words you use and avoid
  • current-context.mdActive projects, priorities, key people

setup

~20 minutes.

Works on Claude Projects, ChatGPT Custom GPTs, and Gemini Gems.

tips

  • The messier your notes, the more this operator earns its keep. Don’t clean up before pasting in.
  • Works great with transcripts from Fathom, Otter, or Zoom — it extracts what matters instead of summarizing everything.
  • After a few uses, you’ll notice patterns in what it gets right and wrong. Tweak the instructions.
  • For recurring meetings, add a note about the meeting’s cadence and purpose to your current-context.md. The debrief gets dramatically better.
  • Over time, upload past debriefs as project files. The operator will track what’s changed since last time.
